Following the success of the 2024 IAB Virtual Symposium, we are delighted to invite you to participate in the 2026 International Association of Bryologists Virtual Symposium, to be held on Thursday, 29 October 2026, beginning at 6:00 AM Chicago (CDT). A time-zone converter is available here.
This year’s theme: Bryophyte Discovery: From Methods to Implications. This is intentionally broad and welcomes contributions spanning all areas of bryology, including systematics and taxonomy, evolution and phylogenetics, biodiversity discovery, ecology and conservation, biogeography, genomics, natural history collections and digitization, bioinformatics and artificial intelligence, education and outreach, and emerging research methodologies.
We warmly encourage bryologists from around the world—including students, early-career researchers, and established scientists—to share their latest research and connect with colleagues across the global bryological community.
