About the meeting

9-12 July 2019

The 2019 Symposium featured a three-day scientific programme covering a broad range of topics in bryology, including conservation, biogeography, ecology, genetics, phylogenetics, physiology, genomics, environmental DNA and invasive species.

Refreshment breaks were held in the Botanical Garden alongside the poster sessions, giving participants plenty of time to browse the posters and discuss them in a relaxed atmosphere.

The scientific sessions were complemented by a lively social programme, including a banquet in the garden, followed by one- and three-day field excursions to bryologically interesting areas around Madrid.

Organized by International Association of Bryologists (IAB), the International Molecular Moss Science Society (iMOSS) and the Spanish Bryological Association (Sociedad Española de Briología, SEB)
