Richard Spruce Award
The International Association of Bryologists is pleased to announce it is now accepting nominations for the Richard Spruce Award, recognizing one IAB member who has made important contributions to bryology, within the first 25 years of their career (dated from their first bryological publication) . The award will be presented during the International Association of Bryologists meeting in Madrid, Spain in 2019. The award committee is chaired by Dr. Lars Söderström, and includes Dr. Alison Downing and Hironori Deguchi. Below are details outlining the award and proposals. The award can only be received once. Dates: Committee accepting proposals January 01, 2019. Deadline : Friday, May 03, 2019, 12 pm GMT.
Eligibility: Intended for bryologists who has made an important contribution in bryology, within the first 25 years of their career (dated from their first bryological publication).
Format: Only on-line submissions are accepted. Recognition should consider such evidence as published work, outside grants and support, and establishment of facilities in her/his area of research.
